Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) degree program is designed to help provide students with a solid grounding in the fundamental areas of IT that are of critical importance to employers in an increasingly specialized marketplace.
The BSIT core curriculum provides a solid foundation across the major areas within IT. You will then be given the opportunity to learn a deep knowledge in web development by taking 16 specialization courses specifically designed to equip you with valuable subject-area expertise.
The specialization in Web Development examines many design principles specifically aimed at enhancing the presentation and usability of an industrial strength web site, including the usage and placement of various Multimedia elements on a Web site using software such as Dreamweaver and other industry standard programs.
The robust and rigorous project-based curriculum is designed to help you prepare with firsthand, industry-current knowledge of the design, development and delivery of high-quality IT projects aimed at meeting management expectations.
In addition to gaining practical experience while learning a solid, comprehensive understanding of web development, students will create a portfolio of projects they can use to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to prospective employers.

In Mobile Web Design, students can explore the wide range of uses for mobile web, including designing for a variety of mobile devices such as the iPhone, android and windows mobile devices and the impact of local and global demographics on the design of web pages for mobile devices.
In Emerging Media and Technology, students can learn how new technologies and new uses for information/data have a direct impact on the personal, social and business aspects of our lives and gain a basic understanding of emerging media as it relates to web standards, social networking, mobile computing, collaboration environment and a variety of other current topics.
In Introduction to 3D Virtual Worlds, students can discover virtual worlds using current virtual environments tools, such as Second Life. Featured topics can include navigation, camera controls, object design and texturing, gestures, animations, sounds, basic use of tools and scripts. Using an activity-based learning approach, students create 3D virtual world content.
